About me

Portrait 3

Who am I?

I am someone passionate about the beauty of nature. A native of the Basque Country, I was fortunate to grow up in a house with a magnificent panorama, between sea and mountains. I love terrain, plants, light: everything that creates a landscape, that gives a spirit to a place... And I love discovering the more or less discreet touch of human hand within it. Since I was very young, I've spent hours gardening, first alongside my parents then alone, small or large projects, whatever the weather... even though it's often rainy in our green region...

After studying languages and management, I worked for several years as a consultant in the banking sector at a Parisian firm where I had great experiences in project management, team management, budgeting... Upon returning to Paris after some assignments abroad, I realized that I couldn't fully fulfill myself in this path, as this environment wasn't sufficiently aligned with my vision of life.I therefore decided to dedicate myself to what mattered most to me: nature and landscape.
"To design and create gardens that are not only beautiful, but that lead to a state of well-being and happiness, because they are a true link between their owner's home and the landscape in which they are situated."

Training

To give myself the means for this adventure, I was fortunate to work at prestigious landscape architecture firms following my studies at the National School of Landscape Architecture in Versailles.

First, with Louis Benech, whose encyclopedic knowledge of plants has become proverbial, then Jean Noël Capart, the true spiritual heir of René Pechère, who introduced me to the art of earthworks and beautiful stonework.

Finally, the Wirtz brothers, who following in their father's footsteps, blend formal gardens with the softness of grasses for the most prestigious clients and properties around the world.

I also drew inspiration and strengthened my hands-on experience in various nurseries and as a gardener at the Alhambra in Granada.

Today

After a period in the heart of Bordeaux and then in the Limousin countryside, I settled in Pau to be closer to my native region where the majority of my clients are located.

Working primarily along an Atlantic arc stretching from the Basque Country to Normandy, my finest projects are currently concentrated on the southern Basque Coast.

This 'return to my roots' allows me to observe that the general temperature and sunlight conditions have changed significantly in recent years...
It is necessary to readapt one's plant palette and the means of supporting it in its development.
