Creating a corner of paradise in Cap Ferret

The owner of this house, completely renovated by an architect and located in one of the most sought-after areas of Cap Ferret, wanted to bring his garden up to the level of the exceptional work that had been done on the 'Chalet'.

After substantial enrichment of this very poor and acidic sandy soil, and the installation of an irrigation system adapted to the intense heat that can strike this paradisiacal place, I chose compositions and plant palettes that became increasingly wild as one moved away from the house.

From the composition of a Japanese-inspired garden on a terrace and at the entrance of the house, to the tangle of Helichrysum and other Carpobrotus edulis at the entrance to the property.
We naturally took advantage of this very Landes-like biotope to install a generous variety of heathers.
