Recreating unity between scattered outbuildings through an English garden
The owner of this lovely château located in Anjou wanted me to work on the outbuildings that he had purchased separately and that he wanted to convert into guest rooms.
A service driveway had to be created that would define a large central meadow. Each house needed to have its mixed border, which in addition to ensuring a long flowering period had to be easily maintainable.
It was necessary to create unity, centrality, and preserve the beautiful view of the valley that the ensemble overlooked. Some trees had to be preserved and complemented with ornamental trees.
English spirit and a judicious choice of plants to combine long flowering periods, resilience and easy maintenance.
