This family contacted me to improve the integration of their pool area into the landscape, and to better separate two relatively close houses on the property.The layout of a serpentine hedge around the pool created 'intimate nests' while concealing the fence. The separation of the two houses was ensured by a more substantial evergreen screen, but especially by diverting the gaze towards a vast perennial border.

The installation of a retaining wall structured a horizontal parking area, making it more comfortable while reducing its physical and visual footprint. Behind the house, the creation of a hydrangea garden and a sunken bench completely revitalized a previously unused area. Finally, the curved design and a choice of closely related evergreen species (Osmanthus heterophyllus and Osmanthus Burkwoodii) gave undeniable aesthetic unity to the entire property.
